Editing and Regenerating Statements

Working with AI Statements

You have full control over the defense statement before it goes to the client.

Direct Editing

The statement text is fully editable:

• Click in the statement area to edit
• Add, remove, or modify any text
• Changes are saved automatically

Regenerating the Statement

If you want a fresh AI-generated version:

1. Click Regenerate Statement
2. Optionally provide guidance (e.g., "Focus more on the timing of the yellow light")
3. The AI will generate a new version

Note: Regenerating replaces the current statement. If you want to keep parts of the original, copy them before regenerating.

Writing Your Own

You're not required to use the AI content at all. You can:

• Delete the AI-generated text entirely
• Write your own statement from scratch
• Use the AI as a starting point and substantially rewrite

Best Practices

• Review First - Read the AI statement before making changes
• Preserve Good Arguments - The AI often identifies relevant legal points
• Add Local Knowledge - Include information about the specific court or location if relevant
• Maintain Professional Tone - Ensure the final version reads as you would write it
